Getting AroundThere is a Bus Service (timetable) from Exeter to Torrington via Dolton; but we advise that a car is necessary to really appreciate all of North Devon and beyond.
Things To DoRHS Gardens Rosemoor. Only a ten minute drive.
Also at Great Torrington. Dartington hand blown lead crystal glass, factory shop and tour.
If you're in need of some serious retail therapy you can't beat Atlantic Village Shopping at Bideford. Do try a gorgeous pasty at "Pasty Presto".
The National Trust. Beautiful houses and picturesque walks.
Exmoor National Park. Stunning scenery on the Devon / Somerset borders.

If art is your thing the Broomhill Art Hotel, Contemporary Art Gallery and Sculpture Gardens; and the Burton Gallery and Museum are both worth a visit.
Hatherleigh is worth a visit, an example of a typical North Devon Market Town. The Tuesday morning market with its various stalls and auctions may be of interest.
